
HIV Manual
The National Strategy for Sexual Health and HIV was launched in
2001, with one primary national target set reflecting the prevention
element of the Strategy:
- The target is to reduce by 25% the number of newly acquired
HIV infections (and gonorrhoea) by the end of 2007.
five-year HIV Strategy (2004-2009) and Implementation Action
Plan for Luton has been produced to address national priorities
whilst reflecting local need. More information on the local Strategy
and a copy of the Luton Action Plan is available from the PCT’s
